Job Title: Lettings Officer (Student Accommodation)

Location: Office 2, 10 New Era Square
Reports To: Lettings Manager/ Associate Director
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week-may include evenings/weekends during peak student intake periods

Annual Salary: £27,350.00

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and sales-driven Lettings Officer to join our student accommodation team. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with a diverse, international student community.

You will play a key role in managing enquiries, conducting viewings, and converting leads into bookings to maximise occupancy. You will also support students from a variety of backgrounds, helping them secure accommodation and settle into their new environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage enquiries from prospective students via email, telephone, in person, and digital platforms such as WhatsApp and WeChat

  • Respond promptly and professionally to maximise booking conversions

  • Conduct in-person and virtual property viewings for both domestic and international students

  • Proactively follow up enquiries and build strong relationships to secure bookings

  • Process applications, bookings, and tenancy agreements accurately

  • Maintain up-to-date records using internal systems

  • Support marketing campaigns, open days, and international recruitment periods

  • Create and edit engaging content (video, photography, and written) tailored to different audiences and platforms

  • Monitor market trends, including international student demand and competitor activity

  • Contribute to achieving occupancy and sales targets

  • Provide a high level of customer service throughout the student journey, from enquiry to move-out

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a sales-focused role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

  • IT literate (Microsoft Office and basic systems)

Desirable:

  • Experience in lettings, property, or student accommodation

  • Experience working with international customers or students

  • Sales experience

  • Knowledge of tenancy agreements or housing regulations

  • Ability to speak Mandarin would be an advantage
