New Era Square is proud to celebrate a significant milestone for our director, Jerry Cheung, who has been appointed President of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2026–2028 term.

Jerry’s presidency reflects decades of dedication to Sheffield’s economic growth, international collaboration, and community development. As a respected entrepreneur, civic leader, and long-standing advocate for business engagement across cultures, he brings both strategic vision and deep local commitment to this prestigious role.

Before assuming the presidency, Jerry served as Vice President of the Chamber, where he contributed to strengthening partnerships between businesses, public institutions, and global investors. His leadership has consistently focused on creating opportunity, supporting enterprise, and ensuring Sheffield remains an open and welcoming city for innovation and investment.

Alongside his Chamber responsibilities, Jerry is widely recognised for his role in shaping New Era Square – Sheffield Chinatown, a landmark mixed-use development that connects commerce, culture, and community in the heart of the city. Under his guidance, New Era Square has become a vibrant destination that celebrates diversity while contributing meaningfully to Sheffield’s regeneration and international profile.
