Last week, New Era Development met the Directors and leaders of companies visiting Sheffield on a trade mission from Tianjin, a major port city in China.

A trade delegation was led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin Sub-Council (CCPIT) to visit Sheffield Town Hall, where we participated in a round table and one-to-one meetings with Chinese businesses that are exploring investment opportunities in the UK. We informed business leaders about our New Era Square project, “Sheffield’s Chinatown”, and shared our plans to create a China-UK Business Incubator that will help us to forge even deeper business connections between Sheffield and China.

Our Director, Jerry Cheung, said: “It is vital for the city to invite more inbound trade delegations to Sheffield so that they can have in-depth conversations with local businesses. Many of the Chinese businesses we met have expressed interest in the China-UK Business Incubator.”

We look forward to seeing more business opportunities likes this on the horizon in the future…
